New higher sign-up bonus
This offer was launched in April. Until June 13, Amex is offering 65,000 membership reward points instead of the previous 50,000 bonus for the personal Amex Platinum after spending £6,000 in the first 6 months of membership. I continue to recommend getting the Platinum card as the first Amex rewards card if you travel because the value of the first year benefits is incredibly high. Just the sign-up bonus is now worth roughly £650.
